Christer Gardell’s RSA’s potential buyer Tryg has been named Denmark’s best company by analysts.

Danish insurance company Tryg has won three awards in this year’s edition of MERIT500 IR Nordic Markets; Tryg has been named Best company, Morten Hubbe Best CEO, and Gianandrea Roberti Best IRO. This is according to a press release. A total of 250 financial analysts participated in MERIT500′ survey, which examined 90 companies. In Sweden, Volvo was voted Best Company, while Emmett Harrison at Swedish Match was named Best ITO and now-retired Tele2 CEO Anders Nilsson was named Best CEO.

Tryg announced in November that the company is considering, together with Canadian Intact, acquiring Christer Gardell’s RSA global operations  for 4.2 billion pounds, thereby forming the largest listed non-life insurance company in Scandinavia.

– Nothing new has happened in this context, but we are waiting for RSA’s shareholder vote on January 19, 2021, says Tanja Frederiksen, Head of Communications, Tryg og Alka, to real time.
